Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Hours: Permanent, Full-time, 39 hours per week

  • Monday - Thursday: Flexible start between 06:30-08:30, finish between 15:30-17:30
  • Friday: Flexible start between 06:30-08:30, finish between 12:30-14:00

About the Opportunity:

Bolt Technical are recruiting for a TIG Welder on behalf of a specialist engineering and manufacturing business supplying precision components and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies into highly technical industries. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and technically advanced manufacturing business focused on high-quality, low-volume production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out TIG welding on aluminium and stainless steel components
  • Perform pre-cleaning, setup, welding using filler material, and vacuum testing
  • Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications
  • Adjust weld settings to suit varying materials and conditions
  • Use measuring equipment to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Organise and maintain personal workspace and tools
  • Work in line with company health & safety and ISO procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities across production

What They’re Looking For:

  • Previous TIG welding experience with aluminium and stainless steel
  • Experience working on vacuum or low-pressure systems advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Experience using measuring equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Miller Dynasty welding equipment beneficial but not essential
  • Aerospace, nuclear, or similar high-specification industry experience desirable
  • Engineering apprenticeship or formal technical qualification advantageous
