Hours: Full-time Monday to Thursday, 10-hour OR 12-hour shifts. Overtime available as required.
Bolt Technical are working with a leading advanced manufacturing business supplying high-precision components to motorsport, aerospace, defence, and high-performance engineering sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced CNC 5 Axis Machinist to join a busy and well-invested machine shop, working on complex, tight-tolerance components in a high-quality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines with a strong focus on 5-axis machining
- Program parts offline using CAM software
- Produce complex, high-precision components including moulds, inserts, fixtures, and composite-related parts
- Edit and optimise CNC programs to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Inspect machined components to ensure they meet quality and tolerance requirements
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and checks
- Follow SOPs and quality procedures consistently
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate production and tooling records
- Adhere to all health & safety requirements
- Support the wider production team as required
