Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum + overtime (x1.5) + Bonus

Hours: Full-time, core hours 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (flexible 07:00 - 18:00), overtime as required

Bolt Technical are hiring a CAD/CAM Engineer for an exciting and rapidly growing team specialising in design, manufacture, and installation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work on bespoke, high-quality projects and gain hands-on experience in a design-to-manufacture environment. As part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing components and assemblies from scratch, supporting the Engineering Manager, and contributing to multiple concurrent projects. You will be working in a company that values innovation, internal progression, and real influence over processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate 3D drawings according to client specifications.
  • Design bespoke metal and aluminium products for manufacture, including parts and assemblies.
  • Program punch and press brake machines efficiently.
  • Work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects at a time (small and large-scale).
  • Support continuous improvement across products and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct site surveys and liaise directly with customers when required.
  • Attend trade shows, client meetings, and other work-related events.
  • Contribute to project planning, material selection, and engineering solutions.

What They’re Looking For:

  • Engineering degree or formal qualification.
  • Strong 3D CAD experience - Autodesk Inventor and/or Revit.
  • Experience in bespoke design for manufacturing, ideally with metal or aluminium products.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (up to 5 at a time).
  • Practical experience translating designs into manufacturable components.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other engineering software - Radan3D, Revit, AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to site surveys and client-facing project work.
