Location: Telford, TF1

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

Hours: Permanent, Full-time, 39 hours per week

  • Monday - Thursday: Flexible start between 06:30-08:30, finish between 15:30-17:30
  • Friday: Flexible start between 06:30-08:30, finish between 12:30-14:00

Bolt Technical are recruiting for an Assembly Technician on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Telford. The company specialises in the production of precision components and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies for highly technical industries. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test products to customer drawings and specifications
  • Carry out electro-mechanical assembly activities
  • Perform low-level pressure system testing and vacuum leak testing
  • Complete basic pneumatic assembly, wiring, and electrical testing using multimeters
  • Create standard operating procedures for new work
  • Organise and maintain personal workspace and tools
  • Work in line with company health & safety and ISO procedures
  • Support continuous improvement activities across production

What They’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience within electro-mechanical assembly
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Experience using measuring equipment
  • Basic electrical testing and wiring knowledge
  • Understanding of pneumatic systems and pressure testing advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
  • Engineering apprenticeship or formal mechanical/electrical qualification desirable
