The Role

With previous bookkeeping experience, preferably within the tech start-up and or market research space, you will be confident in taking ownership of the company’s financial process and day-to-day tasks, to keep us on track.

As a fast-growing start-up business you will be crucial in supporting all our teams and with sharing key information to external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Payroll & Pensions: Oversee monthly payroll processing in coordination with HR and external providers, including pension contributions and 401K reconciliation.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Monitor and manage both accounts payable and receivable; process incoming and outgoing invoices, receipts, and payments; proactively chase overdue client payments.
  • Client Invoicing: Issue accurate client invoices using QuickBooks and track reconciliation of incoming payments.
  • Bank & Tax Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile taxes, payroll deductions, and retirement contributions to ensure compliance.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management: Manage regular payment runs to suppliers and third parties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Cashflow Management: Prepare and present weekly cash flow reports to leadership to support operational and strategic planning.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in producing quarterly management reports including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Cross-Border Collaboration: Work closely with our finance counterpart in Turkey to consolidate and align group accounts.
  • Tax Compliance: Support VAT filings and corporate tax submissions in collaboration with external accountants.
  • Platform & Procurement Registration: Manage registrations and documentation on client procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba), ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Investor Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of quarterly investor updates and financial reporting packs.
  • Min 2-3 years experience in bookkeeping
  • Relevant associate degree in accounting or business management.
  • Experience of using Quickbooks and/or Xero accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Fluent with MS office

Motivated employees must be remunerated appropriately. The starting salary for this position is £33,000 gross per year (full-time). As we are a digital-first, fast-growing market research company, the actual compensation package will depend on your qualifications and prior experience — so a higher salary may be offered to the right candidate.
