Are you a passionate Compliance Officer? We are a top-ranked London law firm, looking for a dedicated Senior Compliance Officer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact and to ensure adherence to our regulatory and ethical standards, all while advancing your career in a genuinely supportive environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous legal compliance experience (5-8 years);
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a very high level of numerical accuracy and intermediate IT skills (Excel and Word);
- The ability to work against deadlines, a firm commitment to being an exceptional team player, excellent organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Knowledge of personal injury law and the SRA Code of Conduct;
- Educated to degree level (preferred, but not essential);
- Cyber Security knowledge.
What you’ll do:
- Audit files to ensure regulations are complied with, recording of processes and reporting;
- Respond to staff queries, ensure reviews are up to date, and create and maintain data records;
- Arrange inductions and organise regular staff compliance update meetings;
- Take control of cyber awareness programs for staff;
- File reviews and complaint handling;
- Take responsibility for Data protection queries and subject access requests;
- Management of junior staff.
