Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join our team at our Macclesfield site. This is a full‑time, on‑site role where you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components. Daily tasks include interpreting technical drawings, checking for quality and accuracy, and maintaining equipment to ensure production runs efficiently and safely. The role will involve collaboration with team members to meet production targets while adhering to health and safety standards.
Salary up to £17.30 per hour depending on experience
37 hours per week, plus overtime, we offer the option of working a four‑day week.
Core hours of work are – Monday – Thursday between 6 am and 5 pm, Friday between 6 am and 4 pm
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller, with a strong background in programming, setting, and operating CNC machines. Knowledge of Hurco would be advantageous
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine operation
- Familiarity with the use of power tools and hand tools in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Understanding of technical drawings and CNC programming
- Time served in mechanical engineering is essential
