Assistant Financial Controller
What You\’ll Be Doing
As a key member of our finance team, you\’ll be the go-to expert for audit and technical accounting matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the UK&I year-end audit process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Preparing and reviewing IFRS and FRS101 financial statements.
- Drafting technical accounting memos on revenue recognition, leases, and key estimates.
- Supporting the implementation of new lease accounting software.
- Coordinating quarterly group reporting and maintaining management-to-statutory reconciliations.
- Liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical queries.
- Monitoring IFRS developments and ensuring compliance across entities.
- Supporting tax-related processes and ad-hoc technical projects.
What You\’ll Bring
We\’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and brings:
- ACA/CA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of post-qualified experience, ideally from a Big 4 or top-tier firm.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
- Experience preparing technical accounting papers and complex financial disclosures.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
