Boldspace is seeking a Social Account Director to play a key role in delivering and developing our social media offering within the Brand Reputation team. This is a mid-senior role focused on leading social strategy and delivery across a portfolio of clients, while contributing to the commercial growth of accounts and the wider agency. Sitting within the communications function, you’ll work closely with senior leadership, PR specialists, and creative teams to deliver socially fluent, reputation-led campaigns. You’ll be confident owning client relationships, pitching ideas, and identifying opportunities to extend and upsell social activity, while remaining hands-on in strategy and execution. This role suits someone who combines strong PR instincts with deep social expertise, commercial awareness, and the ambition to grow into a broader leadership position.
Requirements
- Act as the day-to-day social lead across a portfolio of Brand Reputation clients, owning strategy, delivery, and client relationships.
- Develop and deliver PR-led social strategies that support reputation management, brand storytelling, and cultural relevance.
- Work closely with PR and creative teams to ensure social thinking is embedded across integrated campaigns.
- Lead the development of social content plans, channel strategies, and campaign ideas, ensuring they are insight-driven and measurable.
- Confidently pitch social ideas and extensions to clients, identifying opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and grow account value.
- Support senior leadership in responding to new business opportunities and contributing to proposals and credentials.
- Oversee and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality output, clear briefs, and ongoing development.
- Ensure best practice in social measurement and reporting, translating performance data into actionable insights for clients.
- Stay ahead of platform trends and cultural moments, bringing proactive ideas and recommendations to clients.
Key Skills & Experience
- 5–6 years’ experience in a PR, social, or integrated communications role, ideally within an agency environment.
- Strong experience managing client accounts, including presenting to clients and advising at a senior stakeholder level.
- A solid understanding of how social media supports brand reputation, earned media, and communications-led campaigns.
- Hands-on knowledge of key platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X, and how they are used differently in a PR context.
- Demonstrable commercial awareness, with experience spotting opportunities to grow accounts and add value through social.
- Experience pitching ideas, writing proposals, or contributing to new business and account growth initiatives.
- Comfortable using analytics and social measurement tools, with the ability to turn data into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong storytelling mindset.
- Collaborative, proactive, and confident working across disciplines with PR, creative, and strategy teams.
