About the Role
We’re looking for a freelance BI / Dashboard specialist to help us design and build clear, reliable, and decision-ready dashboards using Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio). You’ll work closely with product, marketing, and leadership stakeholders to turn messy or fragmented data into dashboards that actually get used. This is not a “pretty charts only” role — we care about accuracy, performance, and insight. You should be comfortable owning a dashboard end-to-end: from data connection and modelling through to UX, documentation, and iteration.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build interactive dashboards in Looker Studio
- Connect and model data from sources such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, BigQuery, spreadsheets, and APIs
- Define metrics, KPIs, and data logic in collaboration with stakeholders
- Create reusable templates and scalable reporting structures
- Optimise dashboard performance and data refresh behaviour
- Validate data accuracy and troubleshoot discrepancies
- Document dashboards so non-technical users can understand and trust them
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience building production-grade dashboards in Looker Studio
- Strong understanding of data modelling, metrics, and reporting best practices
- Experience working with marketing, growth, or business performance data
- Comfortable working with imperfect or evolving data sources
- Ability to translate vague business questions into clear analytical outputs
- Clear communicator who works well with non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with BigQuery or SQL-based data sources
- Familiarity with marketing and attribution concepts
- Experience designing dashboards for executives or clients
- Basic scripting or automation experience (Apps Script, APIs)
