Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover from August
Working pattern: Four day per week role, Monday–Thursday, office-based. We can also consider 3 days per week.
The Role: We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operational running of Boldspace during a maternity cover period. The role will take ownership of office operations, supplier management, events delivery, internal processes, onboarding and business administration, ensuring the business runs efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operational management of the business, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of internal processes.
- Manage key suppliers and external service providers, including IT, facilities, office services and operational partners.
- Oversee office management, maintaining a high-quality working environment and ensuring operational issues are resolved promptly.
- Plan and deliver internal company culture and client events, managing logistics, suppliers, budgets, timelines and on-the-day execution.
- Help drive continuous improvement of operational processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and service quality.
- Manage operational budgets and track expenditure across relevant areas of the business.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes alongside our Head of Talent, working with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Support leadership with business administration, reporting, documentation and operational planning.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and operational best practice.
- Take a key role organising company culture initiatives and social events.
- Take responsibilities of minor diary management for CEO.
Who You Are
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Around 3+ years’ experience in operations, office management, business support or a similar operational role, experience within a marketing agency environment would be a bonus.
- Experience managing suppliers, budgets, projects and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with employees, suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable taking ownership, driving internal initiatives forward and operating in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience within a professional services, agency or high-growth business environment.
- Event management experience.
- Experience supporting senior leadership teams.
