We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP EWM Consultant to join our team and play a vital role in delivering high-quality SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions. In this role, you will work with clients to design, implement, and support EWM solutions that optimize warehouse operations and enhance efficiency. This position requires a deep understanding of SAP EWM modules, business processes, and best practices in warehouse management.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of SAP EWM solutions that align with client requirements.
- Configure SAP EWM functionalities including inbound/outbound processes, picking strategies, warehouse structure, and handling units.
- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct blueprint workshops, develop functional specifications, and provide input for custom development.
- Work closely with clients to understand their warehouse management needs and recommend SAP EWM solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic insights and recommendations on EWM best practices.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users to ensure effective system adoption and utilization.
- Facilitate change management processes, ensuring a smooth transition to the new EWM solution.
- Provide post-implementation support to troubleshoot and resolve issues, enhancing the system’s functionality.
- Optimize existing EWM configurations to improve performance, efficiency, and scalability.
- Conduct root cause analysis on any issues that arise, implementing corrective and preventative measures.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP EWM and related modules.
- Strong track record of leading end-to-end SAP EWM implementations, preferably in complex environments.
- Prior experience in industries such as manufacturing, retail, logistics, or distribution is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience with SAP EWM configuration, including warehouse structures, storage bins, resource management, and process configurations.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, including integration points with EWM.
- Strong knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) solutions and SAP’s WM (Warehouse Management) module.
- Understanding of ABAP debugging and/or minor development work is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- SAP EWM Certification.
- Additional SAP certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) are a plus.
- Excellent business language- English (written and spoken).
- Permitted to work in the UK.
