As a Development Engineer Composites, you will play a key role in the design and development of composites laminates, and structures.

You should possess an understanding of the materials and processes utilized in high-end composite structures applications (Prepreg, cores, tooling, and trimming methodologies).

What You Will Do

  • Design of composite components, tooling, and jigs using CATIA V5 or 3DX.
  • Generate drawings using CATIA V5 (or V6) for composite components, tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Being responsible for technical solutions and client contact.
  • What You Need to Succeed
  • Minimum 6 years of experience working in a similar role.
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent R&D design experience.
  • Experience in F1 or other Motorsport disciplines.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Catia V5 / 3DX.
  • Good work practice of surfaces and solids.

Broad understanding of CATIA functions and the structuring of Generator files, publications and save management structure for large master product files.

  • Excellent understanding of parametric modeling and stable tree structures required to support agile geometry development.
  • Understanding of the applications of GD&T and process limitations of composite materials when tolerancing and defining geometries is expected.
  • Understanding of composite manufacturing methods.
