The role We’re looking for a Principal Programme Delivery Manager to join our PMO team and lead the execution of some of Boku’s most strategic, high-impact initiatives. This is a senior, hands-on role at the centre of cross-functional delivery, translating business strategy into structured, executable programmes that drive real commercial outcomes. You’ll work across Product, Engineering, Commercial, Compliance and external partners to deliver complex, multi-workstream programmes, helping us scale globally in a fast-moving, regulated fintech environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity, building programmes from the ground up, and influencing stakeholders to deliver meaningful results - without needing direct line management.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own and deliver strategic programmes
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programmes aligned to business growth
- Translate strategic priorities into clear delivery plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes
- Ensure programmes are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard
- Drive cross-functional execution
- Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Commercial, Operations, Legal, Compliance and external partners
- Manage dependencies across teams, markets, and workstreams
- Identify risks early and drive resolution
- Embed structure, governance, and best practice
- Establish scalable programme structures, governance, and reporting
- Contribute to the ongoing development and maturity of the PMO function
- Improve delivery processes, tools, and ways of working to increase predictability and quality
- Manage risk in a regulated environment
- Embed regulatory and risk considerations into programme delivery (e.g. PSD2, AML, GDPR)
- Anticipate operational, technical, and compliance risks and mitigate proactively
- Engage and influence stakeholders
- Act as the central point of coordination for senior stakeholders and partners
- Provide clear, data-driven updates and reporting
- Build strong relationships and alignment across teams
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Stay close to trends in payments (e.g. Open Banking, A2A, real-time payments)
- Explore ways to improve delivery through better tooling, automation, and data insights
- Help evolve how programmes are delivered across the organisation
What success looks like:
- Strategic programmes delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives
- Strong stakeholder alignment and confidence across teams
- Clear structure and governance established for complex initiatives
- Tangible commercial, operational, or customer impact from delivered programmes
- Continuous improvement in delivery quality and PMO maturity
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: 12+ years in programme or complex project delivery within fintech, payments, or financial services
- Proven track record delivering large, cross-functional initiatives in regulated environments
- Experience working on externally-facing programmes (e.g. partnerships, product launches, market expansion)
- Skills: Strong programme structuring and delivery capability (from inception through execution)
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including navigating complex environments
- Commercial awareness and focus on business outcomes
- Ability to break down complex problems into clear, actionable plans
- Comfortable working with delivery tools (e.g. Jira, Smartsheets)
- Domain knowledge: Working understanding of payments ecosystems, APIs, and integrations
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting payment products
- Mindset: Calm, structured, and solutions-focused under pressure
- Comfortable working in evolving environments and building from scratch
- Proactive, adaptable, and outcome-oriented
Why join Boku? This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering strategic initiatives that directly impact our growth and global expansion. You’ll work on complex, high-visibility programmes, partner with senior stakeholders, and help shape how delivery is structured as we continue to scale.
