Role Purpose
The Group Tax Manager (TM) is responsible for the Boku Group’s global tax compliance across direct, indirect and employment taxes. This involves collaboration with other Finance team members, legal and human resources teams across the world to ensure timely tax filings. The TM will assist the Head of Tax (Hot) in providing tax advice on transactions and supporting group expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax compliance
- Preparation or review of the Boku Group’s direct tax, indirect tax and/or employment tax returns across 30+ countries
- Act as first point of contact internally and externally on tax compliance matters
- Coordinate with internal teams and external tax service firms to ensure the required information is provided for the timely filing of tax returns
- Prepare or review the tax disclosures in the Boku Group consolidated accounts (half year and full year)
- Prepare or review the tax disclosures in the Boku Group entity only annual accounts
- Assist the Head of Tax with tax research and providing advice on transactions and to support group expansion
- Assistance with tax audits, implementing the group transfer pricing policy and company dissolutions
- Tax registration of new and existing companies
- Completion of FATCA and CRS forms

Key Skills And Competencies
- UK and international tax compliance experience (direct and indirect taxes) - 5+ years minimum
- Tax reporting experience - global consolidation and entity level
- Ability to take ownership of tax compliance and manage deadlines independently
- Willingness to work extra hours where necessary
Nice to Have
- In house tax experience in a multinational group
- Fintech or financial services industry experience
- Experience in employment and international taxes
- Tax qualifications (e.g. UK ATT)
