Role Purpose
The Global Event Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing Boku’s global events program, including owned and operated events, sponsored third-party events, and event support for Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives.
This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring every event aligns with Boku’s commercial goals, enhances our brand, and delivers measurable impact across the buyer journey. It’s a dynamic and outward-facing role for someone who thrives in high-energy environments and has a passion for creating memorable experiences that drive business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of Boku’s global events strategy – including in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats
- Plan and manage all aspects of event operations: logistics, budgets, timelines, vendors, on-site execution, and post-event analysis
- Lead Boku-hosted event experiences, such as roundtables, executive dinners, webinars, and customer advisory boards
- Project manage Boku’s presence at industry events – from booth builds and signage to speaking slots, lead capture, and follow-ups
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure events are aligned with business objectives and GTM priorities
- Integrate events into ABM campaigns to support target account engagement and pipeline acceleration
- Track and report on event ROI, attendee engagement, lead quality, and pipeline influence
- Work closely with Brand, Content, and Creative teams to ensure every event reflects Boku’s tone, identity, and messaging
- Evaluate and recommend event platforms, tools, and technologies to streamline execution and reporting
- Build and maintain relationships with key external vendors, agencies, and event organizers
- Develop and maintain an annual events calendar in line with marketing campaigns and commercial planning
- Coordinate with finance and legal to manage contracts, payments, and compliance for event-related activities
Key Skills, Experience, And Competencies
- Proven track record managing global events in B2B tech, fintech, or high-growth environments
- Experience with event planning, production, and on-site execution
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Commercially savvy with understanding of how events contribute to pipeline and revenue
- Experience integrating events with ABM and demand generation programs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with event tech platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Creative thinker with strong brand awareness and attention to detail
- Comfortable working cross-functionally across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Leadership teams
- Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and proactive in solving logistical and strategic challenges
Qualifications
- Experience delivering event programs that support commercial goals and GTM execution
- Background in B2B events management, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or global payments
- Familiarity with pipeline metrics, event ROI reporting, and lead capture technologies
- Comfortable working in global, fast-paced, and highly collaborative organizations
- Degree in Marketing, Events Management, Communications, or related field (desirable)
