We are the UK division of Boisset, La Famille des Grands Vins, a family business, founded in 1961 by Jean-Claude Boisset. We own award-winning wineries in the key French wine producing regions of Chablis, Burgundy, Jura, Beaujolais, Rhone through to the Languedoc, producing both still and sparkling wine in multiple formats.

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our team to help us continue our impact in the market through developing our partnerships with existing and prospect customers. We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to lead our on-trade wine sales and partnerships across London. If you’re passionate about wine, already connected within the hospitality scene, and thrive on building strategic relationships, this could be the role that elevates your career and our wines.

As our On-Trade specialist, you’ll be the face of our wine portfolio across the vibrant London on-trade sector. Working predominantly with our key distribution partners, your goal is to grow listings and market share, forge meaningful client relationships, and ultimately deliver commercial success. Whilst being based in London, there will also be some wider travel required including monthly team meetings at our Manchester UK’s Head Office. You will also be expected to host on-trade customer visits to our wineries in France as and when required.

The role in more detail:

  • Work closely with our existing partners and develop great relationships with their sales teams in order to retain, manage, and grow our current account base.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from start to finish.
  • Identifying and qualifying new prospects.
  • Presenting new opportunities in order to secure listings that align with each brand’s strategy.
  • Managing bespoke reservations.
  • Evaluating and executing events with both our partners and customers.
  • The management of customer visits to our wineries in France.
  • Developing tailored proactive business plans to increase volume and revenue.
  • Create a wide network of relevant industry contacts and become the knowledgeable and enthusiastic expert for our portfolio.
  • Explore, drive and implement marketing opportunities to drive ROS and visibility of brands/products in customer outlets.
  • Maintain and complete all necessary administrative aspects of the role, including weekly journey plans, monthly reports, customer contact reports, along with providing feedback on competitor activities and market trends in the On Trade sector.
  • Working with sustainability and social responsibility in mind to identify and implement opportunities to reduce waste, conserve energy, and promote environmentally friendly practices.

Candidate Profile Knowledge:

  • Proven wine sales experience with a strong track record of On-Trade business development, particularly across London and able to demonstrate the ability to manage and convert a detailed prospect pipeline.
  • WSET Level 3 with a strong passion for wine; ideally deep knowledge of the French wine category.
  • Strong understanding of the wider UK On-Trade market, including key players and routes to market.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and confident relationship builder.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, resilient, and results-driven.
  • Exceptional time management and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage customer administration accurately.
  • Able to apply “added value” principles in day-to-day work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard business tools.
  • Full UK driving licence, valid passport, and existing right to work in the UK.

The Package:

  • Salary: up to £50,000 per year, depending on knowledge & experience.
