Boiler Room started in 2010 with weekly live broadcasts that opened a keyhole to London's underground.

Your Role

Purpose of the Role

You will conceptualise and deliver high-quality programming and culturally relevant artist line‑ups, across various territories and event sizes (small‑cap club‑size venues as well as multi‑stage festivals).

Main Duties

  • Collaborating with the Programming team to oversee assigned shows in markets across various territories, leveraging extensive personal networks.
  • Programming assigned key event stages in said regions to meet the Events department's ticket sales and profit margin targets.
  • Programming assigned priority festival stages.
  • Ensure that budgets are adhered to and all administrative tasks are completed at the highest quality (exemplary attention to detail, organisation, communication and stakeholder management).

Expectations (specific to your role)

  • Ensuring that each assigned event has a unified programming focus and achieves the needs of Boiler Room and relevant festivals, takes on board local partner insights and any brand commitments.
  • Handling the booking process for event line‑ups from idea conception through to event delivery (Checking availabilities, negotiating fees and contracting, advancing with production teams).
  • Advance, contract and oversee payment for all acts in a timely fashion, as well as connecting them with local production to hand over artist‑specific information ahead of the show.
  • Working closely with Event Production, Marketing, Broadcast and Accounting teams to ensure Boiler Room events and Broadcasts are delivered to the highest possible standards, within agreed budgets and timelines.
  • Being the artist‑facing contact on the day of show, attending to any needs, last‑minute changes or requests, and building long‑term connections with them and their teams.
  • Working with wider programming and event production teams to build a network of collaborators to ensure our events connect as closely as possible to local communities.
  • Feeding into location decisions, both cities and venues in chosen markets.
  • Assisting with the creative decisions for all auxiliary activations. For example merch collaborations / pop‑ups or documentaries / brand deliverables.

  • Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration as well as supporting your team across a variety of projects with different timelines and urgency.

  • Attend a variety of meetings, including project‑specific stand‑ups, weekly department planning and company‑wide updates, managing your time wisely.

Skills

  • Communicate effectively in verbal and written English.
  • Excellent computer proficiency, specifically Microsoft Word & Excel and Google Drive.
  • Present and discuss ideas clearly, and to help translate concepts to the wider team in a detailed and methodical manner.
