Boilerhouse Services Ltd are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Boiler Engineer to join our busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality maintenance and repair services across Ireland and will be required to be able to work flexibly, have a proactive approach to problem solving and use their own initiative.

Salary Expectation: £37,500 - £50,000

The role will include:

  • Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Remedial Works Response & Emergency Maintenance as and when required.
  • Carry out gas and oil boiler & burner servicing on domestic, commercial, and industrial steam boilers.
  • Travelling across Northern Ireland / Ireland and staying overnight as required.
  • Being available to work on our on-call rota.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance and proactively manage site risks.
  • Undertaking any other duties deemed necessary by Management, to ensure the efficient running of the business.
  • Ensure timely submission of all reports, certifications, and timesheets.
  • Carrying out work according to Boilerhouse Services’ policies and procedures.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities available.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant trade-based qualifications in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
  • Be Gas Safe registered (commercial).
  • Strong technical knowledge across a range of boilers, burners & ancillary equipment.
  • Experience in testing and fault finding in a variety of plant such as gas boilers, heating plant.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication skills and organisational skills.
  • A good timekeeping and attendance record.
  • Ability to work methodically and with attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high quality service.
  • The ability to work with a wide range of people.
  • Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • A flexible attitude towards assigned tasks.
  • A positive approach to continuous improvement processes.

Whilst not essential, it would be advantageous for the candidate to have:

  • Valid CSR Card, demonstrating awareness of health & safety standards on construction sites.
  • OFTEC registration.
