Due to continued success and growth, we are looking for a Service Engineer to join our amazing team. Engineers with mechanical and electrical experience are welcomed. Boiler and Valve Engineering Ltd are specialists in industrial steam and hot water boilers and associated systems. From our Highland workshop we offer our customers a range of services including:
- Preparation of boilers for annual inspections and NDT
- Complete overhaul, servicing and calibration of system valves
- Steam and condensate system maintenance
- Design and survey and supply of spares for all manufacturers of steam and condensate equipment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide installation, repair, service and commissioning of industrial steam and hot water boiler systems, including dismantle and inspection preparation
- Overhaul and testing of boiler and steam system valves and other associated fixtures
- Attend ad-hoc breakdowns and customer problem requests, providing quick and accurate diagnosis and solutions
- Provide engineering support for planned system/asset inspections
- Play a key role as part of the engineering team, providing colleague support, training and other departmental growth roles as required
- Create and complete technical documentation as required, including inspection reports, valve certificates, survey reports and/or technical breakdown reports
- Act as a job/project lead as required, leading a team of engineers, apprentices and/or labourers and being responsible for job quality, health and safety and reporting
Requirements:
- Engineering degree or equivalent (HNC or above)
- Strong, proven background in an engineering environment, ideally in an industrial setting
- Field based engineering experience, ideally in a customer facing role
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with dedication to achieving maximum performance and efficiency
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and produce high quality reports
- A full and valid UK driving licence
