THE ROLE
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: As a member of the senior leadership team, the Head of Events will be responsible for the development and execution of the events strategy that will underpin and drive the future growth of the business. They will be accountable for the successful execution of all Boiler Room events, from small-scale club shows to large-capacity festivals across the globe. They will be the conduit across all departments, bringing together the skills and expertise throughout the business, creating memorable moments and an outstanding experience for both the audience and artists.
MAIN DUTIES: They will be responsible for strategically overseeing all Boiler Room events. They will devise and manage budgets, and oversee the already established events team to deliver high-quality, impactful experiences that enable ambitious growth on a global scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute an events strategy, including setting objectives, KPIs, and ROI tracking.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, mentor, and motivate the events team to deliver high-quality events. Having proven experience leading a team and managing diverse stakeholders. They should have vision to drive growth & evolution.
- Event Management: Lead and drive excellence across the full life cycle of events, from conception to delivery. This will require a strong leader with a broad understanding of the events ecosystem.
- Budgeting & Financials: Accountable for complex and dynamic P&Ls, needs to be a strong commercial operator, with proven experience delivering multiple, large scale events across a global footprint.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Boiler Room with trusted partners, brands, communities and senior stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge of underground electronic music, large scale events, programming and production.
- Extensive experience and a solid understanding of ecosystem, structures and processes that go into delivering large-scale events.
- Solid experience working within a commercial events environment and good working knowledge of event promotions, marketing and selling tickets.

- You need to be ambitious and commercially astute with the ability to generate revenue and experience in managing significant and complex situations and budgets.
- You need to be a strong leader who is an excellent communicator, with exceptional interpersonal skills as well as negotiation skills for when it matters.

- Excellent computer proficiency, specifically Microsoft Word & Excel and Google Drive.
- Present and discuss ideas clearly, and to help translate concepts to the wider team in a detailed and methodical manner.
- Ability to work autonomously and with initiative.

- Be an expert in your field.
- Demonstrate an understanding of best practices in your field.
- Demonstrate an understanding of latest industry standard including trends tools and software appropriate national and international standards.
