Team Assistant – Intellectual Property Team – Leeds or Cardiff
Our client, a highly respected and award-winning intellectual property law firm, is seeking a motivated and well-organised Team Assistant to join their friendly and experienced paralegal team in either Leeds or Cardiff.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the legal sector, whether you are a school leaver, recent graduate, or a professional seeking a change in direction. The role offers full training, development, and the potential to progress into a Paralegal position in the future.
The Role
As a Team Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to the paralegal team, ensuring smooth handling of legal documentation and client matters. In Cardiff, the role also includes some light office support duties, such as post handling and ordering supplies. In Leeds, these tasks are covered by an existing team member, with only occasional cover required.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing correspondence and documents for clients
- Assisting with portfolio administration and updating case management systems
- Supporting fee earners and paralegals with day-to-day tasks
- Managing filing, scanning, and document organisation
- Coordinating travel bookings and meetings
- Contributing to the smooth running of the office
About You
We are looking for candidates with:

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and confident communication skills
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good IT skills, with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly
Previous experience in an office or customer service environment will be an advantage, but is not essential – full training will be provided.

- Location: Leeds or Cardiff (full-time office-based)
- Hours: 09:00–17:30, with flexible start/finish options and an early finish policy when work is complete
- Salary: From ÂŁ25,500+ depending on experience
