Our client is a fast-growing social mobility organisation working with employers to connect underrepresented young people with real career opportunities. They’re a small, mission-driven team doing commercially meaningful work at scale — and they’re looking for an experienced Account Executive to take ownership of their Tech & Digital employer partnerships while a member of the team is on maternity leave. Given the growth trajectory of the organisation, there is a strong possibility this role becomes permanent.
The role involves running structured work experience and employer engagement programmes connecting underrepresented young people with leading companies. It’s a consultative, relationship-driven sell into HR, Early Careers and CSR stakeholders at corporate level — you’re selling participation in something that genuinely moves the dial on diversity and social mobility. You’ll inherit a warm portfolio of 14+ corporate employer partners, renew and deepen those relationships, then drive new business across the Tech & Digital sector. You’ll be out in front of clients regularly — London-based is essential.
This role will feel like home if you’ve come from:
- Apprenticeships — levy consultancy, training providers or aggregators
- Corporate partnerships or sponsorships
- Employer engagement or early careers programmes
- Professional membership or events sold to corporate buyers
- D&I, CSR or social impact initiatives
If your background is purely in SaaS or software sales, high-volume transactional sales, or account management without a new business element, this probably won’t be the best fit for you at this stage.
Essential:
- Demonstrable track record in a sales role — farming and hunting, not one or the other
- Experience managing and growing corporate accounts at senior stakeholder level
- Confident building relationships f2f and comfortable with regular client contact
- London-based with flexibility for regular time in SE1
- Genuine interest in social mobility, early careers or D&I
Desirable:
- Background in apprenticeships, early careers or employer engagement
- Active on LinkedIn and comfortable at networking events
- Existing network in Tech & Digital
What’s on offer:
- Up to £55k base depending on experience
- Commission OTE £9–15k across the contract period
- Referral bonus scheme
- Reduced Friday hours
- Flexible working
