About the Role
We are seeking a Commercial Operations Manager to oversee and optimise the commercial vessel operations of a tanker fleet. This strategic role is responsible for ensuring efficient voyage planning, cost optimisation, and compliance, while maintaining strong internal and external relationships. This is a full-time, office-based position working from the central London office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor Vessel Managers, ensuring effective voyage planning and execution.
- Liaise with the Chartering Department to align vessel operations with future voyage requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
- Ensure Vessel Managers are updated on operational guidelines, charter party terms, and regulations.
- Oversee record-keeping and vessel management software compliance.
About You
- Solid office-based or sea-based management of vessels
- Strong knowledge of tanker operations, charter party terms, and world scale terms.
- Commercially astute with the ability to balance costs and operational needs.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with shipping systems (such as DANAOS) an advantage.
- Strategic mindset, able to guide teams and make effective cost/time decisions.
