Burberry is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager, Beauty to join our Organic Social Media team. As part of the broader Social Media & Channel Innovation team, you will have a proven track record of demonstrating exceptional knowledge and understanding of the Social Media landscape. You will manage the day-to-day implementation of the Beauty channel strategies globally, with a focus on emboldening our defined Social KPIs and delivering game-changing strategies across western and APAC channels.
You will drive content strategy, community engagement, and campaign execution. You will bring expert knowledge of social trends, platform algorithms, social listening, and performance reporting, while continually testing and optimising for results. Passionate about staying ahead of trends, you will inspire new ways of working and empower our team managing the day-to-day implementation of our channel strategies to meet key social KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, govern, and develop Burberry Beauty's global social media presence while implementing and owning the Community Management strategy and execution.
- Work in collaboration with central and social creative teams, brand social teams and agencies to develop cutting edge strategies and creative.
- Collaborate closely with Coty teams on all elements of global strategy, with a focus on both western and APAC social channels.
- In collaboration with Coty and the agency, responsible for all content planning and community engagement ensuring best practice and flawless execution.
- Collaborate with Coty on all briefs into the agency and central creative teams, partnering with project management to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Generate an idea atmosphere, knowing they come from everywhere - create spaces for junior team members, agency and stakeholders to come together and ideate.
- Work with a broad range of social tooling to deliver campaigns and analyse their impact - from listening to syndication.
- Build enduring relationships across stakeholders and work closely and collaboratively across the wider social media and marketing teams, including VIP, PR, Events to champion social-first ideas to execute activations and strategies that bring Burberry Brand and Burberry Beauty together.
- Manage external agency relationships, ensuring they are fit for purpose, reviewed regularly and renewals and transitions are executed in a timely manner without disrupting business needs.
- Build relationships with social platforms to identify new opportunities and develop innovative activations ahead of competition.
- Find new and exciting ways to engage customers on social channels to drive awareness, conversation and an affinity with Burberry Beauty.
- Champion brand values and act as a guardian of the brand across all projects by demonstrating a considered and sophisticated understanding of the brand and the luxury beauty spaces.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Innate understanding of the global social media ecosystem and interest in the fashion and beauty industries.
- Strong and proven understanding of prevalent social channels in APAC, including WeChat, Weibo, Red, Douyin, Line and Kakao.
- Proven experience of working with international teams and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with multiple stakeholders, including agencies.
- Digital strategy experience across Bought, Owned and Earned is a plus.
- Analytically minded with a finger on the pulse of social first creative - you will use both sides of the coin in this role.
