Job Purpose

Responsible for the fit-out of shop windows and in-store displays, implementing guidelines defined by the Visual Merchandising function, in line with the brand's high-quality standards and product image, with the aim of maximising sales. Ensures the ongoing maintenance of quality standards for both window displays and interior merchandising.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out fit-outs within the agreed timeframes, implementing guidelines provided by the Visual Merchandising Department and ensuring their daily maintenance.
  • Makes adjustments, as required, in response to store merchandising needs, sales performance, market specifics and customer profiles, sharing updates with the Visual Merchandising function.
  • Supports fit-outs in other stores within the same city, when required by the VM Manager and agreed with the Store Manager.
  • Updates the Display App by taking photographs of displays and shop windows whenever changes are made (including partial updates), and uploads images to the appropriate platform.
  • Works closely with Retail Merchandising to implement fit-outs that drive customer traffic and sales growth, identifying suitable outfit combinations aligned with the market, customer base and season, based on available stock.
  • Provides guidance to the Store Director and Floor Managers on product display.
  • Shares images of periodic fit-outs and any changes with the Visual Merchandising function within agreed timelines, to allow for feedback and adjustments.
  • Provides feedback on the effectiveness of fit-outs to both the Visual Merchandising and Retail Merchandising functions.
  • Reports on the condition of store interiors, shop windows, and display props to the Visual Merchandising function.
  • Supports the implementation of fit-outs for in-store events and promotional activities, collaborating with the Communications and PR teams for press presentations.
  • Oversees the care and organisation of store props in collaboration with the Stock Manager.
  • Supports Client Services Development/VIC activities by ensuring appropriate displays during private client appointments.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Strong visual merchandising expertise, with a keen eye for detail, styling and presentation in line with luxury brand standards.
  • Solid understanding of retail dynamics, including product placement, customer behaviour and sales drivers.
  • Ability to interpret and implement Visual Merchandising guidelines consistently and effectively.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to adapt displays to market needs, store performance and customer profiles while maintaining brand identity.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to deliver fit-outs within tight deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Retail, Merchandising, PR, Events) and provide clear guidance to store teams.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities to improve displays and drive sales performance.
  • Good digital proficiency, including the use of apps/tools for reporting and sharing visual updates.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining store standards, including care of props and store environment.
