About The Role
We are looking for a curious and commercially minded Junior Business Analyst to support data-driven decision making across the business. This is a development role, ideal for someone early in their analytics career who is keen to build strong foundations in commercial analysis, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration. You will work closely with Finance, Marketing, Trading, and Operations teams to support reporting, analysis, and insight generation, while learning how data informs business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Reporting and Analysis
- Produce and maintain regular performance reports and dashboards
- Support trading, revenue, and cost analysis across the business
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc analysis
- Ensure data is accurate, well structured, and clearly presented
- Help answer commercial questions using data and analysis
- Translate data into clear summaries and basic insights
- Support senior analysts with deeper analysis and presentations
- Develop an understanding of key business drivers and metrics
- Help improve reporting processes and documentation
- Support the maintenance of consistent metrics and definitions
- Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Assist with testing and validating data from new tools or systems
- Work with teams across Finance, Retail, Ecommerce, and Operations
- Respond to data requests in a timely and organised way
- Build confidence communicating findings to non-technical colleagues
What You Need
- Essential
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Confident Excel skills, including formulas and basic modelling
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop in an analytical role
- 1 to 2 years' experience in an analyst, finance, or data-related role
- Experience with reporting or data visualisation tools
- Basic knowledge of commercial or financial metrics
- Interest in retail, ecommerce, or consumer businesses
