As the IT Service Desk Engineer of UK & EMEA, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of all IT services required to successfully open new retail stores across the UK and mainland Europe. You will own connectivity, POS and network infrastructure readiness, vendor coordination, on‑site engagement, testing, and Go‑Live accountability to ensure each store opens on time, fully operational, and compliant with company IT standards.
Responsibilities- Managing the full IT lifecycle from planning to post‑opening stabilization
- Ensure all IT deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned to Go‑Live and store opening dates
- Oversee end‑to‑end testing of all store IT systems, coordinating with global teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Serve as the single point of contact for IT Go‑Live timelines, readiness, and sign‑off for each new store
- Travel to stores during construction and fit‑out phases to engage with site teams and proactively resolve IT‑related risks
- Lead internet procurement and manage connectivity for new stores, ensuring stable connections ahead of Go‑Live
- Manage POS and network hardware ordering, configuration, and delivery in line with project timelines
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware logistics, installation, and quality assurance
- Provide post‑opening support to ensure system stability during initial trading
- Act as the primary IT interface for internal and external partners, managing multiple concurrent store openings
- Ensure compliance with IT security, network, and operational standards, and drive continuous improvement in processes
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, take initiative, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience in IT infrastructure, retail IT, or multi‑site technology environments, with increasing responsibility for delivery and coordination
- Proven experience supporting or leading new store openings, site rollouts, or multi‑location IT deployments, ideally within a retail or customer‑facing environment
- Hands‑on experience managing store IT infrastructure, including POS systems, networking, and telecom provisioning
