As an Assistant Buyer on womenswear you will support the team to ensure we maximise the department's sales and profitability. In the role you will maintain organisation within the department including sample handling. You contribute to the best purchase by securing customer and brand requirements on orders with regards to time, price, quality and quantity.
What You Will Do
- Support to maximise the department's/concepts sales and profitability by maintaining timelines both before and after order replacement.
- Follow weekly trade updates for future opportunities.
- Drive daily organisation and running of the department for your team; continuously evaluate and research our customer, identify buying habits and their effect on trends, and deliver information to the design team to drive product development.
- Conduct regular analysis of competitors and provide insights to the team, ensuring we offer customers great value for money.
- Communicate with the production office, follow up order placements and meet deadlines.
- Handle samples and oversee and maintain the wardrobe, keeping all samples neat, tidy and organized.
- Manage the post flow from and to recipients.
- Raise orders and order updates.
- Prepare and assist fittings, organise agenda, provide samples at the right place, right time and right quantity.
- Maintain responsibility for call-off, supplier and trailing quantity moves as required.
- Be part of reviewing and analysing the department’s product, assortment and selling; consider actions according to business needs and present sales figures.
