Job Purpose
We are hiring a German-speaking HR Operations Coordinator to help deliver a thoughtful, accurate and responsive colleague experience across Burberry's European business.
Working across the employee lifecycle, you will manage HR administration and resolve queries relating to onboarding, contractual changes, absence and departures.
You will collaborate with HR colleagues and managers to provide clear guidance while ensuring that every interaction reflects Burberry's commitment to quality and care.
This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week, offered as a fixed-term contract for maternity cover until September 2027.
The role is based at our Queen Street office in Leeds, with a hybrid working arrangement requiring at least four days per week in the office and one day working from home.
Responsibilities
- Manage accurate and timely HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including contracts, new starter records, employee changes and departures.
- Resolve escalated HR queries covering employee processes, time and pay matters, and straightforward employee relations support.
- Partner with Employee Relations and HR Business Partners to provide clear guidance aligned with internal policies and relevant local employment legislation.
- Prepare accurate documentation for formal employee processes and complete assigned work within agreed service levels.
- Use HR data and colleague feedback to identify trends, strengthen processes and improve the overall service experience.
- Build trusted relationships across the business, acting as an escalation point for managers and supporting annual reward activity, team development and HR projects.
- Personal Profile
- Experience in HR shared services, HR operations or HR administration, supporting a broad range of employee lifecycle activities.
- Working knowledge of HR processes and employment legislation, with the ability to apply policies appropriately and consistently.
- Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken, to support colleagues across the relevant markets.
- A thoughtful and service-focused approach, with clear communication skills and confidence working with colleagues at different levels.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to organise competing priorities within agreed deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams, including working with data and producing accurate professional documentation.
