Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the administration and efficient flow of work-in-progress, and finished textile products through the manufacturing process. The role coordinates procurement, production planning, inventory control, logistics, and customs compliance to support on-time customer delivery, minimise production disruption, and maintain adherence to Burberry compliance standards. This position plays a key role in aligning supplier deliveries with manufacturing schedules.
Responsibilities
- Planning, Procurement Support & Administration: Raise purchase orders for fabric finishing. Raising requests for warehouse order picks to satisfy weekly despatches. Supporting the senior planner with sales orders.
- Production & Supply Coordination: Work closely with production planners to align material supply with weaving/dyeing/finishing schedules. Communicate material shortages or risks that may impact vendor timelines.
- Inventory Management: Work with warehouse team to goods receipt all raw materials and finished goods.
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Liaise with domestic and international suppliers to confirm order status and shipment schedules. Track inbound shipments and coordinate with logistics providers. Assist with resolving quantity discrepancies.
- Logistics, Export & Customs Coordination: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including international imports and exports. Prepare and verify shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, transport documentation). Ensure correct commodity codes, customs declarations, and record-keeping. Work with freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure timely clearance. Monitor Incoterms compliance and manage freight cost optimisation.
- Compliance & Standards: Support the organisation's compliance with Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) & Global Organic Textile (GOTs) standards. Ensure accurate and timely customs documentation and audit trails. Maintain secure supply chain procedures in line with AEO requirements. Assist in internal audits and compliance reviews related to customs and trade. Maintain documentation for traceability of imported and exported goods. Escalate and report any compliance risks or breaches. Contribute to maintaining AEO / GOTs accreditation and readiness for external audits.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems.

- Understanding of textile manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of international trade, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
