Job Purpose

Burberry is looking for a talented Product Developer to bring Burberry's Flou and Special Projects collections to life, guiding each product from the first creative concept through to final delivery.

Working closely with design, you will translate creative ideas into beautifully executed garments while protecting the integrity of the original vision.

You will oversee dresses, skirts, blouses, tops and other soft-sewn products, alongside bespoke and high-priority projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end development of assigned Flou products and Special Projects, from design launch through sampling, fittings, approvals and final handover.
  • Bring together Design, Atelier, Raw Materials, external partners and cross-functional teams to maintain clear decisions, responsibilities and timelines.
  • Translate creative requirements into accurate development briefs, protecting design intent while balancing quality, craftsmanship, technical feasibility, cost and delivery.
  • Manage critical paths, identify development risks early and present practical options that keep products and projects moving forward.
  • Coordinate bespoke, VIP, event, capsule and other high-priority projects with discretion, including fittings, garment adaptations and time-critical delivery requirements.
  • Maintain accurate product, material, approval and cost information within PLM systems and development trackers, contributing to more effective ways of working.
  • PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Experience in product development within luxury fashion, high-end fashion or a comparable product-led environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Flou, soft-sewn or womenswear products, supported by an understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrication and luxury finishing.
  • Experience managing products through concept, sampling, fittings and approvals, with the organisation to oversee several developments and changing priorities.
  • A collaborative communication style, with the ability to build effective relationships across creative, technical and operational teams and external partners.
  • Commercial awareness and sound judgement, with the ability to assess costs, recognise risks and develop solutions without compromising quality or creative intent.
  • Accurate, adaptable and solutions-focused, with professional fluency in English.
  • Italian language and experience with PLM systems would be advantageous.
