We are now seeking an Assistant Depot Manager for our Liverpool branch. You will support the Depot Manager with operational and strategic matters at the branch.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising hire desk staff at the front of house to ensure efficient customer enquiries and maximize conversion into hire and sales transactions.
- Overseeing workshop staff at the back of house for fast and safe turnaround of equipment.
- Enable and encourage your team to adhere to H&S and quality standards.
- Monitor P&L revenues and targets to ensure the depot performs at its peak.
- Identify ways to improve depot efficiency and productivity.
- Focus on retaining existing customers while being mindful of competition and new opportunities.
- Assist the Depot Manager with weekly, monthly or quarterly administration required for the Liverpool depot.
Your usual working hours will be Monday to Friday, 0730hrs to 1700hrs.

Your Profile:
- Minimum of 3 years plant/tool hire industry experience.
- Experienced and driven Assistant Depot Manager seeking a horizontal move or an experienced Hire Controller ready for promotion.
- Valid right to work in the UK (no relocation or visa sponsorship provided by Boels).
- Goal‑driven mindset focused on customer experience and revenue maximisation.
- Commercial astuteness with logical and strategic planning skills.
- Organisational skills to keep depot administration in a ship‑shape manner.
