Let me take you through a typical day of a Driver at Boels in Newcastle. In the morning, you start at 0730hrs and the transport planning is already done. You load all the plant equipment and small tools into the vans and you take your coffee to-go because you need to deliver the equipment straight to the client. You may encounter traffic and you communicate with the branch to keep the customer informed. You unload at site, advise on the use of machines, check their technical condition, and ensure the administration is completed accurately. Your eye for detail is important. At the end of the rental period, you collect all equipment from the customer and bring it back to the Newcastle branch for cleaning and inspection so we can prepare for the next customer. It can be hard physical work, but you enjoy getting involved and helping colleagues when needed. The day typically finishes around 5 o'clock, with exceptions.

The orange Boels team in Newcastle consists of various functions that collaborate to ensure hired equipment is delivered to the customer at the correct location.
