We are seeking a reliable and skilled

Driver/Fitter to join our events team.

This role involves the transportation, installation, and dismantling of event lighting equipment, and materials at various venues.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in repairing and installing, lighting tower and associated equipment, as well as a valid driving licence and a flexible attitude toward working hours.

  • Load, transport, and unload lighting equipment and materials to and from venues.
  • Assemble and dismantle event lighting setups and on-site repairs.
  • Ensure all equipment is fitted securely and safely according to event plans and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-event checks on lights, vehicles, and materials.
  • Drive company vehicles (vans/lorries) to event locations locally or regionally.
  • Work closely with the event production team to ensure installations meet quality and design standards.
  • Assist in warehouse duties, including maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service when liaising with clients on-site.

Your Profile

  • Previous experience as a Driver/Fitter, with experience within the event industry, exhibitions, and construction industry.
  • Full, clean Class 1 driving licence
  • Ability to read and understand event setup plans or technical drawings (desirable).
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift and move heavy items.
  • Flexible with working hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and travel as required.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach on-site.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Computer skills in systems and excel.
  • Preferred: Forklift, telehandler, or other plant licences (advantageous but not essential)
