Boeing Defence United Kingdom (BDUK) is looking for a Support Integration Specialist to support Vertical Lift Boeing product platforms and Service Improvement Activity. As an integrated part of the Service Improvement Team, you shall support existing personnel to analyse, identify and implement efficiency measures to improve Availability of the Apache and Chinook Air Systems.
BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,400 people in the UK. We are responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK Defence Customers including the E-7, P-8A, Chinook & Apache Fleets. BDUK Engineering Services deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. This role will be in the Product Support Engineering Department which consists of the following technical areas:
- Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis
- Reliability and Maintainability
- Logistic Support Analysis

- Obsolescence Management
- Technical Publications
- Product Support Engineering
As a Support Integration Specialist, you will help to identify, develop and implement Product Support Service Improvements whilst remaining compliant with the appropriate regulatory standards. You will report to the BDUK Product Support Engineering Manager whilst being technically supported by our other capability specialists within the wider engineering function.
In your role, you shall:
- Be the Product Support Focal in a multi-disciplinary, dedicated Service Improvement Team, approved and supported by the MoD.
- Seek to deliver a sustained level of Product Support recommendations as the department interface into a combined Data Exploitation (DE) and Continuous Improvement (CI) Team.
- Integrate directly with our UK MoD Customer and broader business units in the contracted solution development, liaising with both BDUK and Boeing USA in support of solution development.
- Support the identification and targeting areas for improvement by cohering applicable and available data sources, and where necessary, deliver Business Cases for consideration and approval.
- Identify and progress Continuous Improvement initiatives by utilising Data Exploitation inputs and systems to analyse, identify and compare efficiency improvements.
In a technical capacity, you will work across Vertical Lift programmes, identifying business development opportunities and contribute to engineering excellence across the company as part of your ongoing career development with Boeing.
In addition to your technical activity, there is opportunity to support company initiatives, for example, quality improvements, promoting a safety culture, promoting Diversity and Inclusion, mentoring and coaching, STEM outreach and a number of focus projects to support the growth of the company and its employees.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Essential to be able to obtain UK SC security clearance
- The ability to justify a requirement for change based on data analysis and sound engineering principles
- The ability to lead and present proposals to senior leadership and customer representatives
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- You will ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant STEM subject
- Have an understanding of Support Engineering in the Military environment
- Have an understanding of Digital Systems and analysis
- Ideally have some technical knowledge of the CH-47 & AH-64 platforms
- Strong analytical skills with a focus for detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ideally be registered with the UK Engineering council at the IEng or CEng level or progressing to registration.
