The Role:
Working within the Programme Management team, the Asset Manager will be responsible for ensuring that sales orders are loaded and in place to meet all programme deliverables and that all materials are aligned to support the delivery date requirements.
You will be proactive and forward thinking and work with all supporting departments to ensure a robust material supply chain is in place to fulfil the customer expected deliverable requirements to support the Customers aircraft modification date.
You will create and manage shortage reports for all orders and proactively engage with other departments to ensure shortage parts are ordered and delivered on time to meet Customer requirements.
You will be a key participant to the weekly change board meeting to discuss and determine the suitability of any requested changes to agree the acceptance and incorporation, if justified.
You will be part of a cross functional team with an objective to deliver all materials associated to multiple customer reconfiguration programmes. The extended team includes programme management, engineering planning and asset management who equally share the same deliverable objective.
You will feedback into the wider team any such issues or concerns that will jeopardise any programme deliverables. The wider team or Integrated Project Team (IPT) consists of engineering, purchasing, supply chain and programme management. You will establish and control the parts requirements in support of our projects and see them through to delivery to the customers.
This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to communicate status efficiently to all levels of personnel.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Manufacturing Engineers and Material Controllers to ensure that the demand placed (sales orders) for parts into the ERP system is accurate, complete and in line with the customer requirements and each aircraft configuration variable.
Liaise with the internal supply chains (IRC) to achieve On Time in Full (OTIF) delivery commitments.
Liaise with the purchasing team to ensure purchase orders are placed for parts and the delivery schedule meets the need dates.
Ensure, where applicable that stock is allocated in support of the BOM requirements.
Support the loading of demand for long lead items at the earliest opportunity.
Chase parts deliveries as required to achieve customer need date(s).
Ensure all related databases, for the specific Project “ID’s” (PID’s) are current and up to date.
Check to ensure all parts are available prior to releasing parts to the warehouse to be picked, packed and dispatched.
Notify the Seattle Distribution Centre (SDC) of “ok to pick” status.
Monitor picking/packing status to ensure on time parts shipment is achieved.
Monitor with supplier management local supplier status.
Highlight risks, issues and opportunities at all stages of the project lifecycle.
Process unplanned demand requests for parts and materials identified as urgent requirements in support of projects.
Provide reporting of status and KPI’s for PM’s and Leadership as requested.
Occasionally work flexible hours to support team meetings, training, and coordination with international team members.
Attend meetings as necessary either in person or remotely.
Check parts, requested by the Engineering as Boeing supply, are included within contractual agreements as Boeing supplied items, and challenge/reject those that are not.
Be prepared to support other roles in the department as necessary to ensure successful delivery of each programme.
Be adaptable and work in a fast-paced environment.
Some travel for training and business developments may be necessary.
