Overview
Senior leader responsible for directing the BDUK Design Center and Production Engineering to deliver design, maintenance, and manufacturing engineering work for Part M/Part 145 compliance. You’ll drive technical governance, operational excellence, and multi-site collaboration with customers, BDUK, and suppliers. The role shapes the engineering function within the UK defence portfolio and contributes to growth of the design and production engineering footprint. You will lead with a focus on strategic design excellence and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities
- Deliver work scope to programmes and drive business growth
- Lead GeoDiversity projects for non-BDUK entities
- Manage resource demand and recruitment
- Report performance to Functional management
- People management including performance enablement and talent development
- Promote technical excellence via Design Practices and Technical Design Reviews
- Coach through Technical Lead Engineers and Boeing Designated Experts to Technical Fellowship
- Network with the wider Boeing Enterprise for functional development
- Develop department strategy aligned to Engineering Function and BDUK organization
- Forecast departmental budget and monitor financial performance
- Manage Risk, Issues and Opportunities across department and programmes
- Lead operational strategy and roll out engineering initiatives
- Be a member of Engineering LT
- Oversee multi-discipline teams across Engineering functions
Key requirements
- Engineering degree
- Knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles RA4800 series
- Prior Engineering leadership
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance
- Strategic thinking
- International collaboration
- Strong communication and storytelling with data
- Knowledge of Engineering Design and MRB processes
- Financial and budgetary management for business cases
- Performance reporting and analytics
