Overview

Starting in September 2026, the two-year scheme will see the successful applicants undertake placements across a number of key disciplines, in different UK locations. The scheme will provide the successful graduate a chance to cover a diverse range of areas, fundamental to understanding successful Project Management roles within Boeing. We put an emphasis on learning in the workplace with live projects, working across multiple teams and location, supported by theoretical learning and support from colleagues and the Early Careers team. The successful candidate will perform a number of roles during their time on the scheme interacting with multiple areas of the company such as Boeing Defence UK (BDUK), Boeing Commercial Aviation Services Europe Limited (BCASEL), or Boeing Flight Service (BFS).

Role postings include exposure to project management practices across a range of projects and divisions, with opportunities to learn and develop through real-world assignments and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Project or Programme Management support role either within a Programme Management Office, Integrated Planning and Scheduling team or the Programme Management Function.
  • Project Manager on customer and/or internal projects
  • Enterprise wide Program Management solution developing
  • Developing and delivering new customer proposals

Typical Activities

  • Documenting requirements, deliverables and success criteria
  • Developing a Work Breakdown Structure, Organisation Breakdown Structure and/or a Responsibility Assignment Matrix
  • Undertaking resource planning and developing project schedules
  • Gaining approvals through the standard gated process
  • Monitoring projects through execution against schedule, cost and quality
  • Project and programme performance reporting
  • Undertaking change, stakeholder and customer management
  • Risk, issue and opportunity management
  • Lessons learned, ‘After Action’ reviews and Project closure

Essential Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Right to work in UK - We do not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Studying a degree course or have graduated a degree course within last 2 years

  • Qualified to degree level in business studies, project management, finance or similar
  • Confidence or willingness to present and host meetings
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to discuss ideas and concepts with stakeholders of all levels
  • Forward thinking mindset and self-motivated
  • Effective communication skills

  • The successful candidate will be expected to undergo an Intrusive Security Clearance Process, which will require 5 years uninterrupted residency in the UK prior to applying.
