Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to support new business opportunities on the E‑7 Wedgetail aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team and carry out the execution of contracted R&M work.
  • Provide analytical capability to transform information and data, providing insight to support R&M decision making.
  • Collaborate with other Engineering disciplines and senior stakeholders to ensure consistency of working methods and activities across all projects.
  • Support and review Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Trees Analysis (FTA), failure analysis, and corrective action (FRACAS).
  • Coordinate, monitor, establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and report the status of R&M activities.

Basic Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or an equivalent qualification directly related to the work.
  • Ability to obtain UK SC security clearance.
  • Clear communicator with a can‑do attitude and a drive to continuously improve the quality of service.
  • High level of skill in reliability and availability modelling calculations.
  • Understanding of the relationships between R&M and Design, Dependability, Safety, ILS & Asset Management.
  • Knowledge and application experience of risk & reliability management systems and techniques.
  • Proven ability to drive first‑time quality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.

Desirable Competences

  • Defence background.
  • Minimum technical education of HNC/HND or formal training in Support Engineering principles.
