Responsibilities
- Deliver aircraft maintenance and flight line duties under Boeing’s own MAA MRP part 145 approval or under the approval of the MOD customer.
- Perform duties within the E-7 Flight Test team and the P-8A Base Maintenance MRO team.
- Assist with E-7 Flight Testing and then join the BDUK MRO Fixed Wing Team to maintain P-8A and E-7 aircraft.
- Travel to Boscombe Down as required.
- Assemble, disassemble or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
- Perform routine troubleshooting of complex aircraft systems such as pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical/electronic to isolate faults and repair faulty components within guidelines published in authorised maintenance documents.
- Provide advice, guidance and mentoring to peers and others appropriate to their role.
- Exercise or work under appropriate supervision for the role.
- Mitigate immediate risks, including “stop work,” and escalating emerging risks, issues and shortfalls in a timely manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement workshops and projects as required.
- Exercise 100% oversight of work carried out by Boeing Apprentices or Trainees, including mentoring.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance.
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Recognised relevant trade apprenticeship or trade training equivalent.
- Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and processes applicable to the aviation environment (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety & COSHH).
- Experience in either commercial or defence maintenance.
- Proficient computer skills, use of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Effective team member displaying appropriate behaviours.

- Ability to obtain a UK security clearance (SC). The successful candidate must be able to obtain a United Kingdom Security Check and hold residency status.
