Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Aircraft Integration Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO . This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration of aircraft systems and components, contributing to performance, safety, and reliability of our aircraft. The ideal candidate will have a strong aerospace engineering background, focusing on systems integration, and demonstrate leadership to guide a team of engineers in delivering innovative solutions.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead aircraft systems integration, including avionics, propulsion, and structural components, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to develop strategies and resolve technical challenges.
- Conduct system analysis and simulations to validate performance and identify issues early.
- Oversee test plan development and execution for verification and validation.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders and authorities.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
This position is 100% onsite at the listed location. The candidate must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance; US Citizenship is required. A final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is necessary.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
- At least 7 years of experience in aircraft systems integration or related roles.
- Experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, flight control, and propulsion.
- Proficiency in analysis tools like MATLAB, Simulink, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork ability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years in aircraft integration, especially in commercial or military sectors.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
- Knowledge of regulatory and certification processes (FAA, EASA).
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with project management tools.
Additional Details
Relocation assistance available based on eligibility. Shift: 1st shift. This role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The salary range is $119,850 – $162,150, with applications accepted until May 21, 2025.
