Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Aircraft Integration Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO . This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration of aircraft systems and components, contributing to performance, safety, and reliability of our aircraft. The ideal candidate will have a strong aerospace engineering background, focusing on systems integration, and demonstrate leadership to guide a team of engineers in delivering innovative solutions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead aircraft systems integration, including avionics, propulsion, and structural components, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to develop strategies and resolve technical challenges.
  • Conduct system analysis and simulations to validate performance and identify issues early.
  • Oversee test plan development and execution for verification and validation.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders and authorities.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

This position is 100% onsite at the listed location. The candidate must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance; US Citizenship is required. A final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is necessary.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
  • At least 7 years of experience in aircraft systems integration or related roles.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, flight control, and propulsion.
  • Proficiency in analysis tools like MATLAB, Simulink, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork ability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years in aircraft integration, especially in commercial or military sectors.
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
  • Knowledge of regulatory and certification processes (FAA, EASA).
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with project management tools.

Additional Details

Relocation assistance available based on eligibility. Shift: 1st shift. This role requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The salary range is $119,850 – $162,150, with applications accepted until May 21, 2025.
