Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager - F-15E Modifications to manage the support and maintenance teams on the F-15E aircraft modifications. The Operations Manager will oversee the execution and delivery of USAF F-15E aircraft modifications at RAF Lakenheath, ensuring compliance with Boeing standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role is based 100% on-site at RAF Lakenheath.
Position Responsibilities
- Modification Execution: Manage the modification process, prioritising safety, compliance, and quality across the team and department at all times.
- Functional Integration: Lead functional execution and integration with the Program to ensure seamless operations.
- Budget Management: Control the budget within the reporting line and department, aligning with the overall business plan.
- Oversight of Modifications: Oversee the execution of F-15E modifications performed by the ICMMM team, ensuring adherence to quality standards and agreed timelines.
- Audit Support: Facilitate internal, customer and regulatory audits, addressing findings and issues promptly.
- Personnel Competence: Ensure that all personnel engaged in F-15E modifications possess the necessary certifications, skills and competencies.
- Staffing and Utilisation: Manage staffing levels and utilisation of the ICMMM teams to meet business objectives and customer commitments.
- People Management: Lead and develop teams to maximize performance, engagement, morale, and retention while aligning workforce capabilities with program objectives.
- Safety and Quality Culture: Foster a culture of safety, compliance, first-time quality, technical excellence, and product integrity, including the promotion of a FOD prevention program.
- Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation of standardisation, LEAN and BPS principles to enhance operational efficiency.
- Communication: Maintain excellent communication and flow of relevant information throughout the ICMMM team.
- Innovation: Drive initiatives that promote production efficiency and innovation.
- Safety Reporting: Cultivate a reporting culture that prioritises safety in accordance with Boeing's Safety Management System.
Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other reasonable management activities, including deputising for the Senior Maintenance Manager as needed.
Required Qualifications
- F-15 platform (or similar) experience is desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and/or modification operations management within the aerospace industry.
- Proven experience in managing aircraft modifications or maintenance operations.
- Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and quality standards in aviation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, people management and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a field related to aircraft maintenance and modifications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
