Boeing Defence United Kingdom (BDUK) is looking for a Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Team Lead to support Fixed Wing and Vertical Lift Boeing platforms. BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 2,000 people in the UK. We are responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK Defence Customers including the E‑7, P‑8A, Chinook & Apache Fleets. BDUK Engineering Services deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. This role will be in the Product Support Engineering Department which consists of the following technical areas:

Responsibilities
- RCM Leadership: Lead a pan platform team to execute RCM analysis, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, and schedule.
- Capability Development: Enhance BDUK’s RCM capabilities through continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Change Management: Evaluate and process change requests based on maintenance feedback, failure investigations, and reliability studies, incorporating lessons learned to improve processes.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all changes comply with industry standards and best practices.
- Customer Engagement: Understand customer needs and requirements, provide expert advice on RCM methodologies.
- Progress Reporting: Deliver clear reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and project outcomes.
- RCM Tool Integration: Ensure defined RCM tasks are accurately reflected and updated within the relevant tools and systems.
- Reliability Foundation Strengthening: Maintain and improve the organisation's reliability approach through systematic methods.
Basic Qualifications (Skills/Experience)
- Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain the necessary clearance.
- Subject Matter Expertise in RCM: Extensive knowledge including hands‑on experience in RCM including MSG‑3, RCM‑2 and FMEA methodologies.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop junior engineers as an RCM SME.
- Maintenance and Engineering Expertise: Strong background in maintenance and engineering, with practical application skills.
- Risk & Reliability Management: In depth knowledge of risk and reliability management systems and techniques.
- Understanding of Risk & Opportunity Management: Familiarity with the principles and practical application of risk and opportunity management in engineering contexts.
Preferred Qualifications (Skills/Experience)
- Defence Industry Familiarity: Preferably experienced in a defence‑related environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Commitment to Quality: A commitment to first‑time quality in engineering outputs and deliverables.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Educational Qualifications: Ideally holds a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and/or formally trained in support engineering.
- Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
