Starting in September 2026, the two-year scheme will see the successful applicants undertake four six-month placements across a number of key disciplines, in different UK locations. The scheme will provide the successful graduate a chance to cover a diverse range of areas, fundamental to understanding successful Finance roles within Boeing. We put an emphasis on learning in the workplace with live projects, working across multiple teams and locations, supported by theoretical learning and support from colleagues and the Career Starter Team.
The successful candidate will perform a number of roles during their time on the scheme interacting with all areas of the Finance functions of the company.
Rotations may involve working on any of the following areas:
- Accounting: This team manage the financial compliance and statutory reporting for 18 Boeing legal entities across the UK and Ireland working closely with our colleagues in other finance disciplines. Tasks in this team will include:
- Internal & external audits support
- Month-end activities including journal preparation
- Posting and control and assisting on group reporting requirements
- Reconciliation preparation and improvement
- Issues management and metrics reporting
- Creation and execution of Proposal Plan of Action to ensure bid and proposal activity is performed in accordance with Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) required governance process.
- Negotiation of contract terms & conditions
- Being the point of contact for our customers
- Supporting control account managers across Boeing.
- Liaising with Project Managers and wider teams to capture forecast inputs to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) monthly forecast process for assigned contracts.
- Provision of reporting to PMs / FP&A to explain variances against prior forecast and plan for assigned contacts.
- Collation of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) inputs to determine expected profitability of assigned contracts upon completion.
- Consolidation of forecast inputs from Financial Operations on a monthly basis to facilitate creation of group reporting information.
- Collation of variance analysis for assigned business areas, partnering with the Financial Operations teams to ensure explanations are cohesive for group reporting.
- Partnering with Business Development / Strategy and PMs during the annual Long Range Business Plan (LRBP) process to ensure financial objectives are consistent with the wider Business strategy.
- Monthly tracking and reporting of overhead costs to wider basis to ensure affordability on our contracts and provide insight to take steps where necessary to address deviations from forecast.

Essential Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

- Qualified to degree level in Accounting & Finance or similar. No Minimum degree grade or GPA score required.

- Effective communication skills
