Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an immediate need for an Associate Multi-Discipline Engineer to join the Dispatch Requirements Group within the Customer Support Flight Operations organization in Seal Beach, CA. The Dispatch Requirements Group develops and maintains the Master Minimum Equipment Lists (MMELs) and Dispatch Deviations Guides (DDGs) for all Boeing Commercial Airplane models.

Position Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge of regulatory agency operating rules, airplane systems, and airplane operational performance characteristics to evaluate MMEL proposals.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities and operators to ensure MMEL proposals meet compliance requirements and operational needs.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, technical pilots, airline customers, FAA, and foreign regulatory agencies as well as Authorized Representatives.
• Coordinate development of flight operations and maintenance procedures.
• Assess proposed changes to aircraft certification that could impact aircraft performance.
• Respond to customer inquiries on all Boeing Commercial Airplane models.
• Continually champion improvements to technologies, tools, and processes to enhance technological readiness to improve aircraft performance and to reduce cycle time and cost.
• Assess proposed regulations and engineering changes to determine impact on cost, performance, producibility, maintainability, and safety.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry AND 2 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience in providing Airline customer support.
• Experience working on Commercial or Military aircraft programs.

Typical Education/Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
