Starting in 2026, the two-year scheme will see the successful applicants undertake four six‑month placements across a number of key disciplines, in different UK locations.
The scheme will provide the successful graduate a chance to cover a diverse range of areas, fundamental to understanding successful engineering roles within Boeing. We put an emphasis on learning in the workplace with live projects, working across multiple teams and location, supported by theoretical learning and support from colleagues and the Early Careers team.
Rotations
- Technical/Testing Services – Compile engineering accomplishment documentation, drawings and instructions for continued airworthiness in the Aircraft Modification Team.
- Experimentation and Analysis – Gain exposure to state‑of‑the‑art modelling, simulation and analysis facilities using advanced technologies and operations analysis methodology to support customers’ needs in defence, security and BDUK programmes.
- Training Engineering – Support innovative training solutions to ensure customers are correctly trained to operate and maintain a range of Boeing aircraft, using sophisticated equipment and tools.
- Structures and Build – Leverage technical knowledge, expertise and continuous improvement methods to provide safe and reliable solutions that maximize value for our customers.
- Systems Engineering – Collaborate across the breadth of engineering functions within BDUK to develop products through their lifecycle, ensuring first‑time quality and meeting customer needs.
- Mission Systems – Apply specialist skillsets to provide quantitative and qualitative product analysis using robust model‑based systems engineering techniques.
- Service Engineering – Support various platforms across BDUK through on‑site technical support, maintenance, repair and overhaul of platform components.
- Support Engineering – Work with the Technical Data Exploitation Team supporting the Chinook helicopter, gathering evidence and presenting conclusions in a written report.
- Mission Assurance – Provide engineering candour and best practice to ensure products remain compliant to safety standards, airworthiness and environmental standards.
- Quality Engineering – Reach across engineering in BDUK to ensure best practice is implemented to continually reach highest engineering standards.
- Industrial Engineering – Develop, implement and evaluate processes to optimise operational efficiency using mathematical, process and simulation models.

Basic Qualifications
- Right to work in the UK – no visa sponsorship.
- Studying a degree course or having graduated a degree course within the last two years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree level qualification in aeronautical, mechanical, electrical engineering or a similar technical discipline.
- Confidence or willingness to present and host meetings.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to discuss ideas and concepts with stakeholders at all levels.

- Effective communication skills.
Additional Information
Security Clearance – Ability to obtain a United Kingdom Security Check and, if required, a 5‑year uninterrupted residency for intrusive clearance.
