Join Boeing’s Global Aerospace Safety program as an Airline Operations Safety Support (AOSS) Flight Operations Lead, where you will play a critical role in advancing aviation safety worldwide. This position requires applicants to be experienced senior professionals in the aviation industry, specifically in flight operations, safety, flight training, and/or leadership roles. You will lead a team of aviation experts to evaluate and enhance customer flight operations globally, ensuring safe and compliant operation of Boeing aircraft.

This is a customer-facing role involving direct interaction with airline leadership, including C-suite executives, during on-site engagements. The position requires extensive international travel (approximately 40%). Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of 3-5 Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during comprehensive airline customer evaluations
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of airline flight operations, including policies and procedures, scheduling, dispatch, flight training programs, standardization, quality assurance, and safety management systems (SMS)
  • Perform flight and simulator observations to collect critical operational data supporting safety and compliance recommendations
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and address underlying safety and operational issues
  • Collaborate with airline customers to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies aligned with Boeing’s safety initiatives and continuous accident reduction goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with airline leadership at all levels, including executive management, to influence safety culture and operational excellence
  • Oversee all aspects of AOSS customer engagement planning and execution, including personnel coordination, travel logistics, security and access arrangements, scheduling, data analysis, and presentation of findings
  • Deliver clear, actionable reports and presentations to Boeing and airline leadership, driving continuous improvement in flight operations safety and compliance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in the airline industry with demonstrated expertise in flight operations, safety, training, and/or leadership
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams in complex operational environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience with root cause analysis and data-driven decision-making
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior airline executives and diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate complex logistics, and deliver results under tight deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 40%), primarily to international locations
  • Familiarity with Boeing aircraft operations, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices is highly desirable
