Overview of the Phantom Works Proprietary Structural Analysis Engineer role at Boeing. Location: Berkeley, MO or St. Charles, MO. 100% onsite with on-site work at listed locations. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) and the ability to obtain/maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. Visa sponsorship is not provided.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Level 2: 2+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or work-related engineering experience with a Master's.
- Level 3: 5+ years of work-related engineering experience with a Bachelor's or 3+ years with a Master's or work-related engineering experience with a PhD.
- Level 4: 9+ years of experience with a Bachelor's OR 7+ years with a Master's OR 4+ years with a PhD.
- Experience with Finite Element Modeling (FEM) tools (NASTRAN, PATRAN).
- Experience with aerospace stress analysis and/or structural analysis.
Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Typical Education/Experience:
- Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. ABET accreditation is preferred in the USA, though not required.
- Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. ABET accreditation is preferred in the USA, though not required.
- Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. ABET accreditation is preferred in the USA, though not required.
