Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) – Military Programs is seeking a highly qualified Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS) Manager to lead and oversee our network of ALSS teams. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of ALSS safety and quality across Boeing’s military program portfolio, including the F-15EX, AH-64, T-7, MV-22, and upcoming future programs. As a first line (K-level) leader, you will manage a team of individual-contributor ALSS Technicians and Flight Operations Generalists, coordinating efforts across multiple locations in the U.S. and overseas. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to operational excellence in support of our mission-critical aviation programs.
This position reports to the BT&E Sr. Manager – Military Programs, Flight Operations & ALSS, and can be located in one of the following locations:
- Berkeley, MO
- Mesa, AZ
- Tukwila, WA
- Ridley Park, PA
- San Antonio, TX
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage and integrate employee activities across more than one discipline within Flight Operations, with specialization in Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS), Aviation Flight Equipment (AFE), and/or Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) shop management
- Lead processes to oversee activities related to the actual operation of aircraft or in direct support of flight operations
- Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals
- Acquiring resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manage, develop, and motivate employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Graduate of a U.S. military life support training program (AFE/ALSE/ALSS/ASL), equivalent technical training courses, and/or FAA-equivalent training
- 5 years of experience in military aviation life support or related fields
- Ability to travel up to 25% to support domestic and international program locations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- STEM or business degree, or 5+ years of experience with military aviation life support programs
- Experience with military and/or FAA aviation standards, qualifications, and regulations
- Leadership experience within a fast-paced aviation maintenance or operations environment
- Ability to comprehend and follow U.S. military technical orders, manuals, and publications
- Exceptional attention to safety, quality, and detail
- Former military aircrew experience highly desired
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and aviation maintenance-tracking systems (AFRS, ACN, GCSS-A, Gold, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and managing remote personnel
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement frameworks

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $93,500 – $192,050
